Audio Engineer/ Technician - 1978 to Present

• Over 30 years in recording studio facility wiring and maintenance of professional recording equipment, patchbay layout/ wiring and audio equipment repair. Ability to read schematics and block wiring diagrams.
• Experience with all types of solder, punch down and multipin connector types. Proper interfacing of balanced and single ended equipment in regards to impedance, phase and level matching.
•  Knowledge of power distribution and grounding including technical earth systems, isolation and regulation.
• 35 years in portable sound reinforcement systems as FOH and stage monitor engineer.
• Extensive experience as recording engineer/ technician with multi-track analog and DAW systems.
• 25 years in design and installation of sound reinforcement for auditoriums, sanctuaries, sports facilities and commercial public address systems.
• Extensive knowledge of amplification and speaker systems of all types including line array, conventional horn loaded as well as 70 volt distribution systems.
• Extensive experience with a variety of mixing console formats including digital programmable mixers as well as analog and digital signal processing equipment. i.e.- compressor/ limiters, graphic/ parametric equalizers and effects.
• 25 years working with digital signal processors for sound system control, RTA room analysis and DSP calibration for room equalization, time delay and feedback control as well as digital counterparts for signal processing, zone routing, ducking and priority channel programming.
• Experience with various DSP platforms including Ashley, Bi-Amp, BSS, DBX, Extron, EAW, Rane, Shure, Symetrix, QSC,Yamaha, XAP
• A/V installation including video switching/ distribution and multimedia display/ projection and third party control protocols.
• Experience with stage lighting systems including lighting instruments, dimmer systems and DMX control.
• Use of PCs pertaining to networking and control of DSPs, data management, research and communication.
• Self employed over 35 years as owner of Precision Audio, Westwood, NJ ( NJ BOC available upon request)
• 35 years experience in repair and maintenance of audio/video equipment- component level troubleshooting.
